Scooter Experience takes you on various routes through landscape of Holland.
The Molenroute (Mill Route) heads towards Zaandam and is best known for the Zaanse Schans.
The routes also lead you past authentic Dutch villages, sights and of course the extensive polder landscape. We have created the routes for you with great care and attention and pass through picnic areas, terraces, windmills, ice cream parlors and various tea gardens, so that there is plenty of opportunity to stop and explore.
The Scooter Experience is a relaxed day out, with plenty of time to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings along the way, interspersed with fun activities.
Below you can find more information per route. You will receive the exact route map (paper or digital) when you are on location.

The Molenroute takes you through the beautiful Zaan region to the Zaanse Schans, known for its many windmills and wooden houses. You must see this unique part of the Netherlands. After the Zaanse Schans, the route continues through beautiful Dutch landscape and the unique areas ‘t Twiske and the Ilperveld. You will receive details about the route just before you leave.

You can rent the scooter from us for the whole day (open from 10 am, you can also start later, return is at 5:30 pm). The Mill Route is approximately 40km long, approximately 2 hours of non-stop scooter time.

Enjoy the ultimate combination of nature and culture. This route takes you past unique villages such as Monnickendam, Edam and Volendam, located along the IJsselmeer, the former Zuiderzee. You will also visit the smaller, more picturesque villages. Between the villages you drive through the beautiful North Holland polder landscape and enjoy the peace and nature.

You can rent the scooter from us for the whole day (open from 10 am, you can also start later, return is at 5:30 pm). The Village Route is approximately 50km long, approximately 2.5 hours of non-stop scooter time.

This route takes you through the world heritage site De Beemster. A unique polder, where the roads are straight and the land is flat and smooth. Then we take you to De Rijp, the village that used to have a large whaling industry, but is now surrounded by land due to the reclamation of North Holland. See the unique features that water management has left in the landscape. You continue your way through North Holland over the dikes and bridges.

The Mill Route takes you through the beautiful Zaan region to the Zaanse Schans, known for its many windmills and wooden houses. You must see this unique part of the Netherlands. After the Zaanse Schans, the route continues through beautiful Dutch landscape and the unique areas ‘t Twiske and the Ilperveld. Because you are taking the XL route here, there is also time to travel via the ferry at Ilpendam, via the peat area in Overleek to Monnickendam and Volendam. And you have enough time to park the scooter and enjoy the tourist attractions in the various beautiful places. You will receive details about the route just before you leave.
You can rent the scooter from us for the whole day (open from 10 am, you can also start later, end time is 5:30 pm). The Mill Route is approximately 60 km long, approximately 3.5 hours of non-stop scooter time.

This route has been specially developed for groups with younger kids. You will pass various playgrounds and stops for kids. The route is also not that long, so you can stop longer and more often. Do you think your kids will last longer on the scooter? Then you can of course choose a slightly longer route.

You can rent the scooter from us for the whole day (open from 10 am, you can also start later, return is at 5:30 pm). The kids route is approximately 35 km long, approximately 1.5 hours of non-stop scooter time.
